Australian club celebrates centennial with invite to hickory golf tournament

Commonwealth Golf Club is an 18-hole championship golf course located in the golfing region of the Melbourne Sandbelt. Commonwealth is highly rated amongst Australia’s top golf courses and is a true test for golfers of all abilities.

In 2020 Commonwealth Golf Club celebrates its centenary year and looks forward to celebrating this milestone with members and the wider golfing community. One of the events the Club is planning is a Hickory Golf Championship. It has extended an invitation to, not only Club members, but reciprocal guests, hickory societies, professionals and enthusiasts.

The format is to be separate individual stroke play competitions for both professionals and amateurs; and a 4BBB Stableford for club and society teams. The event includes $10,000 in prize money for professionals, 18 holes at Commonwealth GC, and dinner with guest speaker. The entry fee is $250 per person.
