Dear Hickory Friends,
We are happy that a lot of European countries are now going back to “normal” life and it looks like the lock down period in Austria, Czech Republic, France, the Netherlands, Germany and other countries is coming into a more relaxed phase. During the past 12 weeks or so we have seen how vulnerable we all are.
In these circumstances we are very happy to be able to invite you to play in the 2020 German Open Hickory Championship at Kallin near Berlin.
It seems important to us that we deal with the situation at the same time fearlessly and vigilantly, and every hickory golfers in particular should have internalized the necessary humbleness to deal with the situation accordingly.
We are determined to hold our tournament in compliance with all special legislation that may still apply in the Federal Republic of Germany and the State of Brandenburg in mid-August.
On Saturday (Aug. 15) and Sunday (Aug. 16) the 12th German Open Hickory Championship will be played over 36 holes.
The professional players will not only compete – together with the Amateur competitors – for the title “German Open Hickory Champion, but also for some prize money (we are working intensively on this). We feel that the awarding of prize money like in the previous year seems especially appropriate in 2020, since it is the professional players or our golf instructors who were economically affected by the closure of the golf courses and the long ongoing contact restrictions
The amateur players compete for the “Tanfani di Montalto Cup” (men) and the “Lily Cup” (women). In the net competition, there is also a historical challenge cup to be won with the “Trophy of the Board of the German Hickory Golf Society”.

We kindly ask you to register for the tournament using either the email address info@german-hickory.com or info@olaf-dudzus.de. Please indicate name, regular handicap and home club and an eventual non-playing companion for Saturday evening.
Entry fees for the entire weekend are EUR 275.00 (EUR 50 for Friday; EUR 225 for Saturday and Sunday):

We have blocked 20 double rooms at Landgut Stober at a price of EUR 139.00 / night / incl. Breakfast. That is the place, where we will also hold our evening event on Saturday, August 15th 2020. We can recommend this Hotel, as we are convinced of the quality of the rooms and the hospitality of the house.
According to our current knowledge, the tournaments in Semily (June 20, Czech Republic), Kitzbühel (July 3–4, Austria) and Gera (August 1, Thuringia) will all take place. Please support our friends with your presence.
