The NorCal Hickory group invites you to participate in the next edition of the Western Hickory Match Play in beautiful Bend, Oregon. This is our second year of this West Coast three-day match play event. For 2018, the event was held on the Monterey Peninsula. For 2019, we will play in Bend, Oregon with hopes to venture to San Diego for 2020.
Competitors are seeded by handicap index into eight player flights to play 18 holes per day of elimination match play. Winners will move on to play winners and eliminated players will get a second chance in a consolation bracket for each flight.
A celebration of golf as it was meant to be played, the event aspires to promote an authentic hickory golf experience by celebrating such past traditions as the dreaded stymie.
