Country Club of Barre
Barre, Vt.
The Vermont Hickory Open is entering its second decade. The state’s premiere hickory event of the year is a two-day medal (stroke) play event featuring men, women, senior, and super senior divisions in both gross and net. All proceeds benefit the Vermont Hickory Golf Association’s work in developing a Vermont Golf Museum. You can read more about that effort here.
There is an optional practice round available on the Friday, Aug. 9. Application deadline is July 31, 2019.

This course for 2019 is the Country Club of Barre, which started in 1924 as a nine-hole course, and one of the first efforts of Wayne Stiles of the firm Stiles & Van Kleek. Read more about Wayne Styles here. Those of you who remember Bob Labbance will remember that he wrote a book on Wayne Stiles.

This includes two rounds of golf, Vermont-themed heavy hors d’oeuvres on Saturday, one free table for club swap and trading (extra tables available for $15 each), buffet and awards ceremony on Sunday, and membership to the Vermont Hickory Golf Association for non-members.
