Aug. 10-11
Wawashkamo GC
Mackinac Island, Mich.
This event is played on the incredibly beautiful Mackinac Island at the top of Michigan’s lower peninsula. The course is an historic one, in fact, it was once a battlefield contested by British and American troops in 1814. The course was designed by Alex Smith in 1898 and is one of the oldest in the U.S.
The 2018 Wawashkamo National Hickory Stick Classic is a four-person scramble with a USGA recommended handicap adjustment based on your USGA INDEX.
Competitors must use authentic antique hickory shafted clubs. The heads of the iron clubs must have been produced prior to 1935, however reproduction wood heads are allowed. Solid hickory replacement shafts are allowed. Replica iron clubs and post-1935 iron heads with hickory shafts installed are NOT allowed.
Ties will be played off. Additional games on the course.
Arrange your own team or submit entries for assignment by the Tournament Committee.
