The U.S. Hickory Open (USHO) is the premier hickory golf tournament in the United States and the 11th U.S. Hickory Open is re-scheduled for Oct. 29-31, 2018 on the historic Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C. Many of you know this course from watching the PGA Tour’s Wyndham Championship on television.

Go the U.S. Hickory Open page on this website for complete information.

Sedgefield is a 1926 Donald Ross design, built during a prolific and creative time in the famous architect’s life. Attractions in the area for guests and spouses are the beautiful and scenic Blue Ridge Mountains and Parkway, the Uwharrie National Forest, the Greensboro Science Center, and Greensboro’s popular Antique Market Place.

The $365 entry fee will include a practice round, two tournament rounds, heavy hors d’oeuvres reception party, dinner, banquet/awards, and a tee gift.

2018 USHO organizers Chris Deinlein and Hamp Munsey are disappointed at the necessity to postpone from the original date, but safety of travelers and players was the first priority. Still, the two are excited about the event and eager to show off the club where both are members. “It is an exceptional club and a beautiful golf course,” Deinlein says. “We’ll do everything we can to ensure the players and guests have a wonderful visit. The club is excited to have the USHO.”
