June 14-16
Belvedere Golf club
Charlevoix, Mich.
The Belvedere Golf Club is pleased to announce the 13th annual Belvedere Hickory Open. “Our membership is honored and delighted to have the event, one of the SoHG’s four major Championship Series events,” says host PGA professional Dennis “Marty” Joy II. “We wholeheartedly welcome all participants and guests to Belvedere Golf Club and the lovely town of Charlevoix, Mich.”
Belvedere Golf Club is also very proud to announce two major restoration projects that began in the fall of 2016. Over the summer of 2016, the original blueprints of the Belvedere Clubhouse and the original William Watson architecture drawings of the Belvedere Golf Club were found. The membership overwhelmingly embraced these two new discoveries and immediately set forth plans to restore both the clubhouse and the golf club. With help from restoration experts, Belvedere completed both projects just in time for the 2017 Belvedere Hickory Open. “After a year of maturity, evolution and exceptional press coverage, we expect the 2018 season to be a most notable year,” Joy says.
Your $325 entry fee includes a Thursday, June 14 practice round (golfing spouse welcome too), daily range balls, tournament favor, lunch at the turn on both Friday and Saturday afternoons, and complimentary cocktails after each tournament round.
There will be a complimentary “Welcome to Charlevoix Party” with entertainment on Thursday evening, sponsored by Joy, and a heavy hors d’oeuvres party with entertainment at the Belvedere Clubhouse on Friday evening, sponsored by the Belvedere Golf Club.
On Saturday evening, the Belvedere Club will host a coat and tie dinner at the Belvedere “Casino.” The presentation of awards will take place at the Saturday evening dinner. Friday and Saturday evening parties are on a cash bar basis.
You are also welcome to participate in the Leo Diegel Belvedere Hickory Two-Person Scramble held Thursday, June 14 from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Entry fee for the two-person Hickory Scramble is $80 per team or $40 per person. Belvedere Golf Club will award a gross team and a net team champion.
