In a recent newsletter to his National Hickory Championship participants, Pete Georgiady noted that the famous Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia has stepped up its promotions of the old and historic Oakhurst course with a newly designed and added web page. Pete lent the resort several photos, nine of which can be seen on the page. It’s great to see that Oakhurst is the beneficiary of the Greenbrier owners’ interest in preserving such a national golfing treasure. All of us who appreciate golf history owe a very big thanks and a debt of gratitude to them for their actions in preserving and promoting Oakhurst.
