Long Island SoHG Golf Special

Sept. 22-24
Southward Ho and St. Georges Golf Club
Long Island, N.Y.

St. Georges Golf Club

The Society of Hickory Golfers has arranged a special outing for its members at Southward Ho and at St. Georges Golf Club on Long Island, N.Y. SoHG member Richard Schmidt has acted as liaison with the two clubs and will handle RSVPs and registration fees.

The itinerary includes a Friday round at Southward Ho, an A.W. Tillinghast design; and two rounds at St. Georges Golf Club, designed in 1917 by Devereux Emmet, an associate of C.B. Macdonald. This is a great opportunity to experience two historic American courses, and to help St. Georges celebrate its centennial.

The field is limited to the first 24-28 players to RSVP with payment. Cost for the three days is approximately $315. However, one may register for all three days, or just the Southward Ho outing, or the St. Georges portion alone.

Our thanks to the Southward Ho and St. Georges members who helped Rich arrange the weekend.
