Jeremy Moe wins 2021 U.S Pro hickory title

Mike Stevens reports: For the third consecutive year, Boca Raton professional Jeremy Moe captured the John Shippen Cup to become the U.S. Professional Hickory Golfer of the Year. 

Seventeen professionals and 18 amateurs entered the 2021 contest held Monday, Feb. 22 at the historic Temple Terrace Golf Course, near Tampa, Fla. Moe’s 73 bested former champion Dylan Malafronte by 4 shots. 

On the amateur side, Will Peterson’s 78 beat Bill Geisler by two strokes to take the Oscar Bunn Trophy. Scott Bowles recorded a net 63 to earn the Heritage title. 

Turned out to be a great day with fantastic weather and enthusiastic hickory golfers enjoying a challenging day on the links.
