Hurricane Florence forces postponement of 2018 USHO

Sept. 11, 2018
There’s nothing like 130 mph winds and torrential rains to put a damper on the best laid plans.

The projected path of Hurricane Florence has drawn a dead bead on North Carolina and will certainly make landfall as a Category 4, if not 5, hurricane according to the National Weather Service’s Hurricane Center.

The 2018 USHO Committee, chaired by Chris Deinlein and Hamp Munsey, made the reluctant but wise decision to postpone the event to Oct. 29-31.

“We know it will cause havoc with travel plans,” Deinlein said, “but with respect to the safety of the players, it was an easy decision to make.”

Deinlein and Munsey are working with the registered USHO players to ensure they have every opportunity to make the later date.

We’ll have updates later as they are available.
