A century ago young Bobby Jones won his first U.S. Open at this historic New York club. In 2023, the club is pleased to host the 2023 U.S. Hickory Open in conjunction with its year-long celebration of Jones’ victory.
Jared Paletti, a member of the Metropolitan Hickory Golfers, and Christian Williams, a hickory golf videographer and member of the SoHG Board of Directors, played the course in mid-June. Williams filmed each hole, even using tracking technology to trace some of the shots the two made. It’s a great preview of what USHO players will encounter when they arrive in September for what is setting up to be one of the Society’s most distinctive USHOs.
