NeKaWA Cup inaugurates a tri-state challenge

The First Annual NeKaWa Cup is scheduled held Sunday, June 1, at The Golf Club at Table Creek in Nebraska City, Neb. NeKaWa is an acronym for Nebraska-Kansas-Iowa. The intention of the event is to promote camaraderie and play between regional players from Nebraska, Kansas and Iowa.
The event is an 18-hole individual match-play hickory golf team event. Players will be assigned to one of two teams with their individual matches vs their opponent determined by SoHG or GHIN handicaps and compatibility, with as much parity as possible. It is also desirable for players to match up with a player from one of the other states to promote camaraderie and friendship, save for a competitive format.
Equipment must be SoHG approved pre-1935 antique or replica clubs. Registration will close on Thursday, May 29.
Check In is at 10 a.m. with tee times starting at 11 a.m. Awards will be presented at the conclusion of the event.
