This year’s VHO was hosted at beautiful Brattleboro Country Club, a Wayne Stiles design with a Steve Durkee addition, under blue skies. A great venue, a great weekend. Bill Houghton of Plano, Texas, is the 2023 Open champion. Jack Crosby of Concord, Mass., took first net in the Open division. The Society of Hickory Golfer’s Bill Wardwell, of Turner’s Falls, Mass., defended his crown as the Senior champion, with Mike Crouch, of Hickory, Ala., taking first net for the Seniors. David Beamer of North Dartmouth, Mass., is our reigning champion of the Statesman division, with Roger Dionne of Hampton , Conn., taking first net in that division. Irene Dionne, also of Hampton, Conn., went wire-to-wire to repeat her 2021 Ladies division championship.
