Tradition, socializing characterize 2025 Swiss Hickory Open

Yara Berger and Paolo Quirici played in their own classes to secure the Swiss Hickory Open Ladies and Gentlemen’s titles at Golf Club Neuchatel.

The 10th wins Hickory Open was played Sept. 21, 2025 at the renowned Neuchâtel golf course and was a resounding success. In perfect weather conditions, the two favourites clearly prevailed: Yara Berger took the title in the women’s competition, while Paolo Quirici dominated the men’s field and was once again crowned Swiss champion in hickory golf.

A total of 36 holes were played over two days of competition. But it wasn’t just about sporting excellence: dressed in historical costumes and using traditional hickory clubs, the players experienced the origins of golf up close.

“The Swiss Hickory Open is more than just a tournament – it’s a journey through time and a celebration of golf culture,” emphasized tournament organizer Maurus Lauber. “The combination of sporting excellence, tradition and enjoyable socializing makes this event unique.”

The anniversary tournament offered an unforgettable weekend against the picturesque backdrop of Neuchâtel, delighting participants and spectators alike.
