The Mid Pines golf professional staff reports:
We would like to start by thanking all of our long-time supporters and any of our first timers for a great weekend of golf. This is truly a unique event, and we enjoy the opportunity to host year-after-year.
Will Peterson won the Open division with 79-79—158. He is a multiple time winner and played wonderfully today. In the Senior division, Ted Kopec won with scores of 81-78–159. This is Ted’s 21st playing of the Mid Pines Hickory and his first Senior Championship, so congrats! John Henry Williams is our Super Senior winner with scores of 84-78—162. He played superbly today and this is his first gross victory at the Mid Pines Hickory. Well done! The Lady’s Champion is Barbara Kopec with scores of 99-94–193. Barb also competed in her 21st Mid Pines Hickory and has several first place medals to prove it.
