The second Sunflower Hickory Open will follow the inaugural number pretty closely, says host and organizer Mike Needleman of the KC Area Hickory Golfers.This early season event is intended strictly for fun and will be formatted as a two-person match play team event. The Falcon Lakes course is a 2002 design by architect Jay Morrish and is called one of the premier golf courses in the Kansas City area. The fee is $99 per player, and includes golf, range balls, awards and that famous Kansas City BBQ for dinner.
As host, Falcon Lakes offers both indoor and outdoor dining space. Players still a little nervous about Covid will be allowed to ride a cart alone should they wish.
