Immediately following the Mid Pines Hickory Open, several members of your Board were at work in an adjacent meeting room to determine the overall Championship Series winners. They were hard put to do so in a timely manner, knowing as they did that the banquet was ongoing nearby. In addition, final CS results were held up until the Mid Pines golf staff completed their results. Long story short, the results were not complete until many folks had left the banquet, travel plans dictating their departure. Your Board was unhappy with the delay in reporting the winners as SoHG members deserve much better. Thus, plans are underway to schedule the Championship Series so that such delays are eliminated and winners are calculated well in advance. We will report to you as soon as a new, better schedule is in place.
Please give your Board the benefit of a short putt, as they are doing their best to provide a workable and enjoyable series of golf events for all.
