2024 Italian Hickory Open

Host and organizer Enrico Budel has arranged for this year’s Italian Hickory Open to be played at the beautiful Cortina Golf Club. But golf is not all that’s on the schedule.
Other historic events planned include:
1) Dolomiti Gold Cup (https://www.coppadorodelledolomiti.it/it/)
2) Historic cycling race.
3) Vintage Tennis Country Club Cortina Trophy
4) Demonstration of the game of cricket
5) Swing dance – Charleston – Lindy Hop
The event, which includes various historical races, is to be called “Once upon a time there was the twentieth century” Cortina 2024.
The golf competition is 18 holes medal with prizes for the gross and net champion. There will be other prizes that I have yet to establish but, as per my tradition, all will be rewarded with Sponsor products (even the last one!!!).
Cortina d’Ampezzo was home to the 1956 Winter Olympics and will be the venue for the 2026 Winter Olympics. A ski resort par excellence near the border with Austria, a symbol of Italian and international social life, Cortina has always been a destination excellence for those who love the mountains and their landscapes, sport and entertainment.
