The 11th annual Wisconsin Hickory Players’ charity event is scheduled again for the Thornberry Creek at Oneida (Green Bay), Iroquois course. Iroquois is gutty-friendly and allows an unspoiled walk or cart. The PAY IT FORWARD GUTTY CHALLENGE offers a unique weekend of “Auld Gawf” spanning three centuries of golf equipment. Contestants sport Auld Gawf attire and play from sand buckets to the special holes cut in front of the regular greens.

Since 2014, PAY IT FORWARD has hosted fun-loving, competitive hickory golfers from throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Tennessee, Arizona, and England.  In addition, local celebrities and Packers have attended.

PAY IT FORWARD IS SIMPLE. Players pay their green fee directly to the course and bring their own beverages to the afternoon gathering.
Everything else is included:  lunch, wee nips, group photo, awards, and the iconic highlight, priceless prizes for all.

PAY IT FORWARD believes one good deed deserves another. Proceeds have benefited numerous charitable causes – as determined by each individual player. There is no boundary, some choose financial while others prefer acts of kindness or both.

Saturday has a capacity of 28 players, battling it out for three championships.
1. Open Championship McIntyre Park gutty ball.
2. Braid/Vardon McIntyre limited flight ball.
3. Traditional scramble, ideally suited for couples or those “new to hickory.” McIntyre Taylor ball is encouraged although any modern soft compression ball is acceptable.

GROUP HOTEL
While there is no official group hotel, many stay at the family-owned Bay Motel. The motel is 15-minutes from the course, has its own popular restaurant with many others nearby.   Regardless, you’ll  get the lowest motel rate by calling directly: 920-494-3441.

SUNDAY IS OPTIONAL
Sunday features our 6th annual Three Centuries of Auld Gawf in three hours.
Play six holes with Lane Featheries; six with McIntyre Park or Braid; and six McIntyre Taylor soft compression ball. Hole yardages are adjusted for the respective era and ball.
