2025 International Feathery Challenge
The International Feathery Challenge is held each year as a component of the National Hickory Championship. This year’s NHC is itself to be contested during the Foxburg Hickory Championship.
The 2025 IFC, the fifth such contest, is scheduled for Aug. 7. It is the world championship of 18th century-style featherball golf. Entry into the IFC is INCLUDED with one’s entry into the Foxburg Hickory Championship. However the fee is only $40 for the IFC alone.
(Players will only be responsible for their 9-hole green’s fee to Foxburg C.C., there is no further charge for the event)
The contest is nine holes of feathery appropriate length with gutta-percha or feathery era clubs. The Lane or the Lion feather ball are acceptable. Sand tees will be in use. Appropriate dress to approximate period conditions is recommended. Ladies and gentlemen are welcome. We will gather at 9 a.m. to start things off.
