Inaugural 2-man Best Ball weathers overnight storm

Teams for the first 2-Man Hickory Best Ball Championship

What a amazing day of hickory golf in the great northwest on a recent Sunday morning. After hours of wind and rain the day and night before, we were able to get out and golf. Our six teams were fortunate enough to compete in the first annual 2-Man Hickory Best Ball event without rain on our heads. Greens and fairways were in great conditions, providing a fair test for the day.

The course was the Riverbend Golf Course in Kent, Wash., built in 1989 as a public facility. (http://www.riverbendgolfcomplex.com) Our APNational Golf Club held a hickory demo there in April, and this event was a follow-up for interested players.

Thank you gentlemen for a fine day of hickory golf.

Team Borgert – Ole Olson, left, and Larry Borgert – takes top honors.
