Tournament Information

The 15th NHC is scheduled for its customary home at the historic Oakhurst Links in White Sulphur Springs, West Va., near the famous Greenbrier Resort. The fee (it was $300 in 2011; $225 in the Sporting Division) includes practice time, the Elmore Just Foursomes Competition on Thursday, tournament rounds on Friday and Saturday, lunch and refreshments, prizes and a unique memento. A championship dinner is held on Friday evening ($55 extra). Equipment is all 19th-century, rules are 19th century. Oakhurst Links uses sand tees and gutta percha balls, available through the NHC. Replica clubs are available for those who do not have a 19th-century play set (included in the entry fee). Simple dress code to conform to 19th-century standards. Atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. Spouses, friends and family are welcome to accompany golfers on the course. Open, Reserve, Women’s and Sporting divisions. Lodging and other information from the NHC office. This event is well-worth attending and is one of the premier hickory events in the United States. Set in the beautiful mountain country of West Virginia. Entry information is posted below. As this is the 15th anniversary, some special prizes are planned.
