Harry Vardon swings a driver.

Possibly the greatest player ever to play the game! He lost 15 of his prime years to either ill health or war. He had horrible yips in the last years of his career, and yet almost won the 1920 US Open at aged 50, loosing by one stroke!

The following photos were taken from "Present Day Golf" by George Duncan and Bernard Darwin 1921. The photographs are by G.W. Beldam. However the start and the finish are not part of the series and are from Vardons own book "How to Play Golf".
