- Nicknamed the 'Divine Fury' by Horace Hutchinson because of his ability to lash the ball - he once hit a guttie 385 yards!_ James Braid was one of 'Great Triumvirate' and in later life one of the greatest course designers with over 200 courses, including Carnoustie and Gleneagles, to his credit.
