Tonight is the second meeting of the SoHG constitution committee and we 
would like to give corresponding members as well as communicating members 
unable to make tonights meeting an opportunity to comment. Also as many of 
these will be going out to a sub-committe please let Barry Markowitz know 
if you would like to be on that committee. (This is an excellent way for 
those not on the weekly teleconference to have a significant input into the constitution)

We will be discussing items 2, 3, 4 and 10 on the 'straw constitution' 
which can be found at http://www.hickorygolfers.com/constitution/documents/sohg_constitution.txt.

Here are some of the expected talking points. Please feel free to digress from these if you wish.

Mission Statement.

Matt Dodds worked on this and it seems to me to sum up the purpose and 
spirit of the organization, however devil's advocates are more than welcome!

Statement of Purpose.
---------------------
These are the original purposes of the founders, and probably need to be 
tightened up a little. We will be having a general discussion on this.

	Are there any in the existing list that do not belong?
	Do we need to add others?
	Do any of these need to be reworded?
	Should we leave them just as they are?
	
We will probably sublet this out to a working group to come up with a 
refined example. Anyone interested on being on ths WG

Membership
----------
We have an EC working group in place consisting of  Mike Brown and Roger Hill. 
The main question is how much do we want to write into the existing constitution 
and how much do we want to leave to  future committes.

Possibly four membership categories could be considered
	1. Non-voting
	2. Full
	3. Charter
	4. Life
	
	Your comments and toughts on these plus any additional (?family, ?junior, ) would be helpful

Board
-----

We just want to start a discussion on this today, but  points to be considered are
	1. Elegibility for board
	2. Number
	3. Relationship to EC
	4. Terms
	5. Method of appointment
